The 2021 city elections are shaping up as some of the most important elections in New York’s history during the COVID-19 pandemic. Candidates at all levels vying for a leadership role during the city’s recovery have a tough road ahead to get the support of Black voters, many of whom have been impacted greatly by the pandemic.
In November, during the 2020 election, a survey conducted by the African American Research Collaborative, the NAACP and the Vera Institute of Justice revealed that the COVID-19 pandemic was the most important issue facing Black voters they felt politicians should address. Discrimination and racial justice was second.
Black Panther 2 director Ryan Coogler pays tribute to Chadwick Boseman

Ryan Coogler, who worked with Chadwick Boseman in Black Panther 2, came forth talking about his experience of shooting the sequel after the latter s demise.
Honouring the late actor in a heart-touching homage, Coogler said, It’s difficult. You’ve got to keep going when you lose loved ones. I know Chad wouldn’t have wanted us to stop. He was somebody who was so about the collective.”
The famed director went on to express how Boseman was supposed to reprise the role in the now untitled film. Black Panther, that was his movie. He was hired to play that role before anybody else was even thought of before I was hired before any of the actresses were hired.”

Even pre-pandemic, the demand for state park campsites outstripped supply. But this year, with travel still being actively discouraged by California’s Department of Public Health and the national Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the search for reservations in the most sought-after parks is more challenging than ever.
A recent search for sites in one of my favorite campgrounds, New Brighton State Beach near Capitola, south of Santa Cruz, returned almost no two-day reservations between now and September. Even planning six months ahead wasn t enough to secure a site.

Devon Conway continues to blaze up the International Cricket Council s T20 batting rankings.
The Black Cap batsman has moved up to fourth in fairly quick succession, jumping ahead of Indian skipper Virat Kohli and sitting behind England s Dawid Malan, Aaron Finch of Australia and Pakistan s Babar Azam.
Conway has scored 299 runs in his last seven T20 internationals at an average of 59.8 and strike rate of 151.

Martin Guptill is the only other New Zealand batsman in the top 10.
Glenn Philips, who won the player of the match award in the second T20 in Napier, has attained a career-best status. He has moved up 32 places to 26th.
